I mean, there’s more shit behind it such as DFAB people being seen as ‘trading up’ but I seriously think it’s connected. I think the feminist rhetoric such as saying women are hated because they have vaginas and penises are privileged and all the rest of it has a hell of a lot to do with all this. The bodies of DMAB folk who are pre- and non- op are seen as gross but DFAB people, including cis lesbians wearing strap ons are edgy and subversive and all the rest.

Sometimes what you call a clit is called a dick by it’s owner, and sometimes a dick is really a clit.

[male pronoun used because he’s happy with that for now] He’s been talking more and more about his gender identity and coming to terms with his feelings on his gender more too. And last night, I found him googling trans women. I asked him why, and he said that he wanted to see what trans women looked like, what the medical transition process looks like. He didn’t really elaborate further so I didn’t push him. But seeing as how he was talking recently about his gender in terms of maybe taking hormones, I have a feeling he wants to see and hear the stories of trans women to perhaps help him work out his own feelings regarding his gender and possibly to help him decide whether or not the hormonal route would be suitable for him.
So, if anyone knows of any good websites or tumblrs showing trans women, can you reply to this with a link? He’s been googling but he’s really quite upset about the amount of vile trans porn that comes up and all the slurs he keeps seeing, so I offered to help him find some good sites through tumblr.
